Locating Faces and Predicting Faces

The first maths activity I did was called Locating Faces.  I had to estimate how many faces there are and then after I had to paint the faces and see if I was right.

The second maths activity I did was called Predicting Faces.  I had to estimate how many faces there are and then after I had to paint the faces and see if I was right.

The Part Adder

I used the Part adder to solve a 2 digit number problem
 49 + 48.

1.  I first split 48 to 45 and 3 I then split 49 to 45 and 4.  I then added the tens 45 + 45 which makes 90. Then I added the ones 3 + 4 which makes 7.  Then I add all of them together 90 + 7 = 97
1.  I first split 48 to 40 + 8 I then split 49 to 40 + 4 + 3.  I then added the tens 40 + 40 which makes 80. Then I added the ones 8 + 2 = 10 + 7 which makes 17.  Then I add all of them together 80 + 17 = 97.

Narrative Writing

A day to remember

April 13 1915 in the trenches you can see Jacob with an injured knee but it's healing alright.  Jack, Austin, Mack, Jacob, Tyler, Braylin and I were planning to have a stroll at midnight for Mack’s birthday.  Jack was a good doctor because he was studying how to  be one before he joined the army.  We were quite worried for Jacob because we might get caught from our enemies.

During our walk Jacob trips and landed on his knee real bad and then the enemies heard and saw Jacob on the floor.  He got up as quick as he could but then they shot both of his shoulders.  We ran and carried him on our shoulders.  He was losing a lot of blood but we weren't close to our trenches where the bandages were.  Jack decided to help and asked if anyone has a badge but Braylin decided to use his t-shirt.  As soon as he took it off there was a line on his chest which meant he had rheumatic fever.  Jack knew it meant he had rheumatic fever and asked him did he know about this the whole time and his reply was yes.  Braylin said that he didn’t want to get sent home so he didn’t tell them.  Later they just focused on how to help Jack.
They ran back to their trenches, it was a long run for them.  As soon as they got there Braylin collapsed as soon as they got there.  We tried to wake him up  but there was no reply.  Jack said that he is dead!  Then we all buried him.  Jack took the two bullets out of Jacob.  Jacob was healing nice and quickly.

Plagiarism

I learnt today about plagiarism.  These are screenshots of a you-tube clip.  Plagiarism is when you use someone else work and claim it as yours.

All About Me

All About Me

My name is Inotia, I have a big family and I am 10 years old. I am a student of PBS and I am a year 6 this year.  I want to explain important parts of myself like my family, friends and hobbies. This is a picture of me when I was 8 years old.

My family is the most important thing in my life because they are there to encourage me to do something I have never done before and keep on trying and always keep me entertained when I’m bored.  The members in my family are my 5 silly brothers, 1 sister and my parents.

My third thing that is the most important thing in my life is my Pet and Friends.  I have many friends from other places like my athletics after school and at Swimming classes and from School.  Most of my friends from school have different nationalities for an example Samoa, Niue and Palagi.  My friends names from school are Mia, Javeylor, Jasmine, Angari and Mya and my friends names from Athletics is Ashleigh, Avala, Leila, Lucy, Hatty, Maddie and Amelia.  Lastly my Cat’s name is Shepard and he is a male

I was born in NZ but my culture is Kiribati because both of my parents are born in Kiribati.  My full name is Inotia Mitchelle Abera Katarake,  Mitchelle is my nickname.  I sort of feel like a Kiwi in NZ and sometimes don’t because I speak more of my language.  I also feel like a Kiwi because I know more facts about NZ than Kiribati.
